For those who've never attended Overland Expo it's like going to a circus where instead of popcorn you get handed a serious case of ADD with Nigel Tufnel as your ring leader turning it up to Eleven. In other words there's a lot of product awesomeness you've never seen before all around you making it difficult to focus. However the first product to suck me in was Harold Kanz's Field Desk. As the inner geek inside came out to inspect this never before seen product of greatness Harold spoke about its features and abilities in his ever so calm and sophisticated German accent. If you were to take Jonathan Ive the senior VP of industrial design for Apple and stick him out in some remote place in the world you'd end up with Harald Kanz accent and all.

Harold's products are inspiring examples of what happens when you blend passion, functionality, and design with the power nature has to give us. For photographers, researchers, and anyone needing to work in the field KANZ products are worth taking a look at. Add OCENS satellite and voice communications on top of this product and you have a stylish way to connect with the rest of the world wherever you are.

For more information & additional products make sure to check out KANZ Outdoors: www.kanzoutdoors.com
For information regarding the Satellite Communications setup please contact Matt Haase at OCENS. http://www.ocens.com/ or email Matt directly: Matt@ocens.com

Shaun, I'm sure you can... if you're wanting the satellite communications component as part of the package I suggest you speak with Matt Haas at OCENS who's working with KANZ. Let me know if you would like his contact info.

Now there is a first! A South African asking about American safari products. I can't wait to tell Harald ;-D. Overland Expo does have products from all over the globe, including some great American-made unique camping gear. It's also all about community, too, and over 85 classes and programs designed to inspire and help people get out and explore the world . . .

BTW we have a Kanz Field Kitchen, and its design, function, and construction are first-rate. Love it. I reviewed it on OverlandTechandTravel.com here: http://www.overlandexpo.com/overland-tech-travel/2011/12/3/tested-kanz-field-kitchen.html

What is Campfire?

Campfire is a place where published items with the most participation go so that everyone knows what’s hot. The more people that collaborate around an item the hotter the fire gets.

Starting a Campfire

Campfires get started when a published item in the Explore section recieves a high rate of participation from other members.

What is Stoking?

Stoking is a form of fire starting. When you stoke an item on safarious you’re basically promoting as a campfire worthy. Stoking has a higher value over comments and views taking place on an item.

The more stokes the higher the chances an item will catch and turn a campfire.
